And so it begins...

Tomorrow begins my official marathon training. I've been doing 6-6.5 miles for my long runs about once a week over the last few months, along with a base of 2.5-2.7 miles for my morning run 4-5 times a week. While I've been keeping a log of my distance, time, food, weather, etc. to track my progress, I've realized that I've been slacking with it. (Perhaps it was seeing "Run: None." too many times.) So, I've decided that perhaps a virtual account of all of my hardwork will force me to feel a bit more accountable - and hence, keep me running and tracking my progress. While I already feel that there aren't enough hours in the day, I'm hoping I can still spare a few minutes of self-reflection to keep me on course with my training (no pun intended). It's all an experiment, really.
Tomorrow I'll be upping the mileage a bit and trying for 7.5-8 miles. The forecast isn't looking that great, but I'm praying that it doesn't rain. Once I officially begin training, runs in the rain are going to have to happen now and again - but I'm not looking forward to that just yet!
Off to bed...I have a busy morning ahead of me! And hopefully, I'll be back here tomorrow to let you know how it all went!
