Week -16, Day 7

Schedule for Sunday, Week -16 = 3 miles.
Ah, nice and easy. Still, I usually take my off days on the day immediately following a long run, so running at all after the 8-miler on Saturday is still new to me.

Actual for Sunday, Week -16 = 3 miles in 29:50; ~1 hour mt biking.
What a busy day! In between painting the porch (almost done!!), we went mountain biking in the morning for ~1 hour. I was sore from the run on Saturday, but the biking helped to stretch me out a bit. We went at a slower pace than usual, so I wouldn't really classify it as a workout. Still very enjoyable.
After a packed day, an opportunity to go for my run finally opened up around 8 PM. Better late than never! I still love running right around sunset; I've only resorted to morning runs because I can't seem to recover from dinner soon enough before an evening run. But I think I might get back to trying to do a few evening runs a week. They're just very peaceful (although more people than the morning runs) and everything seems to glow. It's a nice change. I felt good on the run, not sore at all. I question the accuracy of my mileage because I really thought I was running a bit faster than my recent runs and felt really strong; I thought I was definitely in the low 9-min something/mile range, but maybe not. Who knows.

Coming up next: OFF.
Sweet. I'm tired and sore from both exercise and the porch work, so I think I'll be taking advantage of this recovery day. Although if the weather stays this nice, I just might have to run and enjoy it while we have it!
